Not a problem! The event has ended, but if you don't mind backdating, I'd love to still do something. c: Would you be up for this, and for a serious fight between Mart and his assassin? I don't know anything about his powers, but Sanae's ready to go after the poor guy as soon as he can.

Sure, I wouldn't mind a little backdated fight.

At that point, Mart has no powers except he's gone a bit nuts 'cause Mayfield has amplified his fear of getting eaten. He tends to arm himself with improvised weapons and stuff (rocks, sticks, bricks). That kind of stuff.

Ahh, got it. Sanae's got a handgun and the regained ability to turn into the thing seen in this icon, pretty much an 8ft+ floating tiger furry. Aaand it only gets weirder from there; in this form he can do stuff like hide in shadows and sic his own shadow on people. He's a little slowed down by injuries gained from his own assassin, though.

Now, the downside of figuring this out so late is that I'll need to MAJORLY RUSH YOU ON THIS, sorry! If we could decide the outcome of the fight tonight, regardless of how long it takes to thread it out, that would be great. 8D; Several people can't move forward in logs until we know whether Mart lives or dies, ahaha.

Got it! Sanae's going to be killed by his own assassin in a log that's happening right now, so I can't offer to let Mart beat him, though it seems like he's got the advantage weapons-wise anyway.

Where would you like to play this out? If it does work out better, we can always say that Sanae couldn't track him down in the first place and just thread them post-event, since he only has about a day in which to do it anyway -- he kills Mio Wednesday evening and then is killed Thursday night, haha.

The way I see it, Mart'd probably just manage to evade or distract him in order to escape assassination. I'm fine playing this out anywhere.

I have a post lined up for Sanae tomorrow, so could we use Mart's journal? \o/ Backdated to Thursday afternoon, I think.

Sanae'll probably jump out of his shadow as a big tiger, figuring he can kill the guy on the first hit, but it doesn't work out as planned -- and goes downhill from there. Something like that? He's reluctant to use a gun because of knife wounds to the arms, but his long-range moves while in animal form are really limited, so Mart could get away with injuries only from the initial hit.

One idea I've had.

Mart baords himself up in his house and attempts to ward Sanae off, Home Alone style with traps and improvised weapons.

To be honest, I think it might work better with a different assassin -- Mart fighting back Home Alone style could be hilarious, but it would need a more slapstick-friendly villain, you know? imo, Sanae's too genre savvy and too serious of a character for it to really work, and he's right at home in this event. 8|a

I'm sorry to shoot you down! ;; I just don't know if it's plausible considering the powers he's got, or if it really works for the mood of the event. And I'm sorry Mart had the bad luck to get such a game-breaking assassin... I know I'm taking a while to reply, I'm trying to figure out how best to respond.

My first idea was just that Mart would get inside/off the street/hide in general before Sanae rounded a corner or whatever, and Sanae wouldn't be able to track him down in time before his own assassin comes for him.

That would work for me! If Sanae wasn't so powerful or so close behind him I'd be happy to watch Mart fight him from indoors, but when he can teleport and hide in shadows, walls won't really keep him out long enough for traps to be set. :c I know you'd rather keep him alive, so I think having him lose Sanae might work out best for us!

They can always get up to whatever shenanigans you want after the event -- Sanae's only trying to hurt him because he's forced to. When he's not in fighting mode, he's pretty chill.

Sorry to bug you, and I'm 100% down with handwaving if you want to leave the thread where it is, but! Sanae actually has a point he was hoping to get to in this post-event thread we were doing -- he wants to try talking Mart into keeping the 'giant flying tiger' thing quiet, he's just trying to cool the kid down first. I didn't realize until too late that my tag seemed like a good stopping point, and I wasn't sure if you were commenting back or not. I still should've bugged you about this earlier though, s-sorry.

SO YEAH Mart doesn't have to agree, just give me a heads-up if he says anything about Sanae's abilities publically, if you can \o
