If ve are talking about conventional morals, zhen yes, ve have followed the orders of a "madman" and eliminated and destroyed the lives of so many innocents. Ve are to blame for everyzhing and rightfully so.
[Not that she particularly feels much empathy for what had happened, but she does indeed realize why she and her cohorts are morally reprehensible...]
But zhe same could be said for zhose "ozher people" as much as us. Zhe firebombing of Dresden, repeated bombings of civilian cities, Russian soldiers ravaging towns and German vomen for zhe sake of vengeance zhrough ethnic cleansing... Zhere really are no "heroes" in war as zhey zhink of zhemselves if ve are talking about conventional morals. Just monsters.
All soldiers have killed many innocents for zhe "country" and for ourselves. And me? Vell.
... I just like zhe hunt! And vhen I am not hunting, I indulge in zhe arts, singing unt dancing unt painting just as often as I can!
